Being not only a nurse, but a NICU nurse and mom myself, means I get calls and texts all the time from friends and family who are expecting babies (and I love it!). I’d done video chats with girlfriends who just couldn’t get their baby to latch, countless phone calls troubleshooting broken sleep, and offered help with little things like how little boys pee everywhere but their diaper.

Then, my friends started asking questions on behalf of their friends. Simple things like, “How much milk should I put in a bottle?” It dawned on me that there is an incredible need for new parent support and education. Someone who is reputable, knowledgeable, supportive, and empathetic.

That’s what sparked Fourth Trimester Friend offering support via message, video, and phone as the go-to resource during those tender early weeks.
