what would it feel like to have the same expert in your corner for every question, every worry, and every win across your baby's entire fourth trimester?

three home visits. three virtual check-ins. unlimited messaging.

from your first chaotic days at home to week six, with one person who knows your whole story and doesn't need you to start from scratch every time.

most of the hard stuff happens after you leave the hospital.

you were surrounded by support. then you came home and the appointments thinned out, the advice got conflicting, and every time you saw someone new you had to explain everything from the beginning. Steady Start is for families who want more than that. one person, your baby's whole story, six weeks of guidance that builds as your baby changes. because they change fast.

everything in your steady start package:

three 90-minute visits, used however works best for your family. some families front-load them in the first two weeks when support is most intense. others spread them across the six weeks. there’s no set schedule, you decide what your family needs and when.

in home visits

three 30-minute video sessions for the moments between home visits when something comes up and you need a real answer. no waiting for the next appointment, no Googling at midnight, just a proper conversation from your couch.

virtual consults

text or voice message any time across your six weeks. questions don't wait for appointments, and neither should you. this is the thing past clients say makes the biggest difference.

steady start is for you if…

  • you want one person who knows your baby's history, not a different face at every appointment

  • this is your first baby and a weigh-in and a handout isn't enough

  • something has felt off and you want someone tracking it over time, not just ticking boxes

  • you'd rather understand what's going on with your baby than just be told not to worry

  • you're ready to invest in support that keeps up with how fast things change in those first weeks

  • No. As an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA, my scope of practice covers neonates and paediatrics without a gestational age cut-off. Medicare rebates may apply to eligible home visits, virtual consultations, and phone calls regardless of your baby's age. Learn more about your eligibility and entitlements here.

  • The schedule is yours. Most families front-load visits in the first two weeks when things are most intense, but if you'd rather spread them across the six weeks, that works too. There's no fixed timetable. You tell me what your family needs and when.

  • Home visits are in-person where I come to you, do a proper clinical assessment, watch a feed, check your baby's weight and tone, look at your recovery, and spend real time with your family. Virtual check-ins are 30-minute video calls for the moments in between: questions that can't wait, sleep troubleshooting, a feeding concern at day 10, or just a chance to debrief before your next visit.

  • Text or voice note me any time across your six weeks. I'm not available 24/7 in the way a hospital ward is, but I respond the same day to anything that comes through. It's the thing past clients consistently say made the biggest difference - knowing they could ask without waiting for the next appointment.

  • Yes. As an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner, I have prescriptive authority within my scope of practice. If your baby needed something like chlorsig for sticky eyes, I can write that, no extra GP appointment required.

  • You don't have to choose, plenty of families use both! Child & Family Health visits are a great foundation, but they're often short, scheduled on a fixed timeline, and you may see a different nurse each time. Steady Start sits alongside that, offering something different: a consistent clinician who knows your baby's full history versus just a snapshot at a weigh-in. No packing up the baby, no waiting room, no rushing through a checklist. For a lot of the families I've supported, the council visit leaves them with more questions than answers. This fills that gap. Whether you use council care, private care, or a combination of both, the goal is that you feel genuinely supported and confident.

  • After each visit, I'll send through a written summary of where things are at, what we covered, and what to focus on before we next connect. It's a clear picture of where your baby is and what we're working on together that you can refer back to each visit and ongoing.
